This is the best Gravel event I have taken part in. I was blown away by the Cotswalds and the route took us to some places that you'd never otherwise see. I think we encountered every type of riding possible! Road sections were quiet and kept to a minimum. The feed station was so well organised. The top of the hill 4 miles from the end was stunning. So nice that a bunch of riders had just stopped there to have a drink and a chat. Really memorable. Thanks HONC. I hope to see you again next year.

Great organisation and very, very well run. Good choice of routes and as always really well planned.

The 100km was tough going - GPS thinks I climbed 2000m.

Will be back again next year - I'd say I'll train more and be better prepared... Reality is I'll probably keep the tail riders busy again

Doing the XL route a week after a 600k Audax was not the best of planning for me but that's just excuses. It's a great route through some amazing scenery, it'll certainly challenge you. We went a bit off-piste on occasion with gpx track but that could have been pilot error. Feedstations all ok, could maybe have done with an extra water station between last feed and finish but that would be my only criticism apart from no food left at the finish!, and there were still loads left out there after us. We were lucky with the weather of course as it was dry and warm all day. Tougher on a gravel ride versus a mountain bike I'd say, but doable. Enjoy

Great organisation, wonderful scenery through parts of the Cotswolds which were familiar, but the route gave a new perspective. Very good refuelling stops and all teh volunteers were friendly and helpful.

The perfect amount of trails to road ratio. Very typical Cotswold scenery without all the crowds of the busy areas. Beautiful trails and gorgeous views. The halfway feed stop had a fun party atmosphere with lots of food and happy people. The HONC crew were lovely. Highly recommend!

This event is very challenging if you're doing the 140km. The hills are so tough, there are lots of them. One of the hardest off road cycling events you can do. Oustanding country views over the nicest part of the UK.

We absolutely loved the Hell of the North Cotswolds (HONC) on Saturday. A brilliant course with stunning Cotswold scenery, amazing trails and a great mix of riders on mountain bikes, e-MTBs and gravel bikes.

One of the things we really liked was that it isn’t timed, so there’s no pressure — you can ride at your own pace, enjoy the trails and actually take in those fabulous views!

The whole event was incredibly well organised, and starting and finishing at beautiful Sudeley Castle made it feel extra special. Such a fantastic location.

The halfway pit stop was very welcome and well supported, and there was a great choice of food and drinks waiting at the finish too.

A fabulous day out on the bikes, a brilliant atmosphere and a superb route. Huge thanks to everyone involved in organising and supporting it. We’ll definitely be back!

This is the highlight event on my cycling calendar. The scenery is wonderful - especially when the sun shines. The marshalls are terrific - always hepful and have smiles on their faces. The venue. on-site parking and catering are spot on. See you next year.

A great friendly well Organised event. Stunning scenery and a varied course that was challenging at 50 kms route. Wonderful supportive volunteers on course at registration and at feed stations. Thank you a great experience.

The signage was very good (I also had GPX), and the tracks were truly amazing. The weather did help but the whole event was fantastic. I made a point of thanking the volunteers who came out to marshal the course, they were friendly and helpful. The feed stations were well organised with plenty of fuel.

Never fails to deliver. One of my top 3 all time XC events, can't say enough good things about the course and organisation. Is a real gem in the calendar and long may it live. Will be back again and again.
Best scenery of any of the event rides I've done in England and Wales.

Route 10/10. Organisation 10/10. Food stops 10/10.

What more is there to say?

I only had time for the 50k. It was my first off road sportive the organisation and route was great allowing you to challenge yourself to your limits or just take it at an enjoyable pace. Good feed station and friendly marshalling

I have ridden the 100k HONC quite a few times in its 40 years, and I still want to do it again so shows how good the event is. I have done the XL route both times now, this years route was great overall. There were a couple of draggy parts that potentially could be cut out and shorten the route by 5 miles or so, its still a long day out!
Great value for money as well vs other events. Highly recommended!
