Linc Charity is one of the longest-standing hospital charities in the county. Since 1998, we’ve supported tens of thousands of people affected by blood cancer—and we always say people, because our care extends far beyond the patient. A diagnosis of blood cancer touches the whole family, and we’re here for loved ones just as much as those receiving treatment.
What makes Linc truly special is where you’ll find us. We’re based right within the Haematology departments at Gloucester Royal and Cheltenham hospitals, working side by side with clinical teams. Being at the heart of care means we’re there at the moments that matter most ready to offer support whenever it’s needed.
We understand that every experience with blood cancer is different. Whether it’s from the point of diagnosis, during intensive treatment, through difficult times for families, or simply navigating day-to-day life, we’re here to listen, support, and help people find strength when they need it most.
Linc helps patients and their loved one’s cope with the emotional impact of cancer by funding Clinical Psychologists who work closely with the NHS Trust. We also support clinical trial nurses, who guide patients through innovative treatments that may offer new hope. The insights gained from this work don’t just help individuals—they contribute to improving outcomes for blood cancer patients nationally and internationally.
Our support doesn’t stop at the hospital doors. Through Linc’s dedicated fund, we provide practical help at home when it’s needed most. This might mean easing financial pressure with support for childcare or rent or helping families create special moments together with a funded day out. Every bit of support is quick to access, thoughtfully tailored, and designed to make a real difference in people’s lives.
