HONC 2012 · Sunday 15th April · 100 or 50km

28th HELL OF THE NORTH COTSWOLDS 2012

At 09.00 hr on Sunday 15th April over 1200 riders, readied themselves at Winchcombe School for the traditional mass start of the event, this year carried out by Lady Ashcombe of Sudeley Castle.

The weather was fantastic, dry and sunny although fairly cool. The route this year passed through the grounds of Sudeley Castle to mark the commemoration of the 500th anniversary of the the birth of Katherine Parr by Sudeley Castle. Riders completeing the route were presented with a certificate confirming their finishing time and a commemorative HONC Katherine Parr medal.

The age range of entrants was again impressive – from 8 to 74 yr. and with riders travelling from all over the country to take part.

We do not publish a list but first rider home on the 100K route came in after 4hr 15min and on the 50K route 2hr 32min.
